I am currently sat here at my new ofice desk (yes, I am incredibly excited about my new office desk!) contemplating the blur that has been the last 5 or so weeks. in an attempt to update you with what I’ve been up to. With my intention being on blogging more regularly I now see that I have failed miserably and so apologise as I spill everything in to one post.
August kicked off with my first solo art exhibition in a number of years, which featured a hefty wad of new work, of which I was very excited (and slightly nervous!) to share. I’m delighted to say that the show was a great success and also lead to a number of commissions, one of which was a fun steampunk piece for fantastic fellow artists Rosie Ablewhite aka Rosie Rockets. I was truly honoured that Rosie asked me as I absolutley love her work! The limited edition prints of my newest pieces proved very popular so now are available to purchase through my Etsy store.
The week after the art show I took part in an artist market, which was part of the RAF 100 celebrations at the Waterside Shopping Centre in Lincoln, and also doubled as a great excuse to get dressed up in vintage attire. This event also saw the first outing of my limited edition prints of my RAF 100 Voices wing design, also now avaliable at my Esty shop.
After a much needed holiday away (which now feels like it actually happened several months ago!) the end of August saw our annual trip to Kustom Kusture Blast Off at the Lincolshire Showground, for which I added a new KKBO pin up girl design to my pieces on offer. This year’s show was also particularly exciting for me as I designed the limited edition t-shirt for this years event, so it was a real treat to see people walking around that weekend wearing my artwork.
As I speak I am about to head off to The Women In The Arts chat and craft event to help blow out the cobwebs of being stuck indoors over the past few rainy days.
Needless to say, my wrists are now slapped for my lack of blogging of late…I promise I will proceed with far regular blog posts!
In the meatime be sure to check out my Instagram for more of my arty goings on.
